Hawaii is one of the leading travel destinations for Americans who want to visit the tropics while staying in their own country. The average temperature of Hawaii is pretty stable throughout the year. Generally, the brochures for Hawaii travel packages will not include any information about non-tourist attractions. The Big Island of Hawaii has a number of smaller towns along the shorelines that are equally enjoyable for anyone wanting to get away from the large touristy beach resorts.

Hawaii offers a variety of experiences. Vacationers can ride in a helicopter, para-sail, hike through beautiful scenery, or learn to surf. The additional cost of these activities is relatively low when you factor in the memories you will walk away with. When you are considering Hawaii travel packages, consult with your travel agent about adding these activities.
