Espresso coffee makers – Enjoy your Favorite Espresso at Home
No one seems to have time for anything lately. Busy, busy, busy – everyone is too busy. But, thanks to some ingenious Italians, we can now carry our own espresso on the way to work. The first batch of Italian espresso makers started to be made in 1901 and this started the earth’s love affair with this wonderful – nay –perfect cup of coffee. If you spend all day in a Starbucks, you might want to consider investing in a home espresso coffee machine. This way you can have home made, high quality espresso on tap any time of the day or night. And this espresso maker is always open.
There are umpteenth number of local coffee emporiums and chains that regularly churn out gallons and gallons of coffees, lattes, cappuccinos and espressos. But of recent times more and more people want to make their own espressos in the confines of their home to save both time and money.
The companies that make espresso machines tend to be boutique smaller companies – unless they are based in the US, in which case perhaps not so much, but they all have one thing in common. They offer a wide range of models and prices to suit almost any pocket. There are of course wide variations in quality also, but there is a model to suit every pocket and need.
If you are interested in buying an espresso machine, the massive variation in styles and models can be confusing. They vary from enormous, stainless steel behemoths to tiny, unobtrusive countertop models. They also vary in capacity and volume quite considerably. Do you want a completely automatic machine or with some variation and control?
There are three basic models and the original espresso coffee makers were steam driven only. They were improved upon with the addition of a pump or lever driven pressure.
The basic models use steam pressure to drive water through the coffee grinds. The piston or lever model uses a piston to build up a head of steam and the pump versions use a mechanical or electric pump to do so. The basic principal remains the same though.
There are many companies which manufacture espresso machines. Some of them are – the Conti of Monte Carlo and Briel of Portugal. They all manufacture a range of espresso makers to cater to hotels, restaurants, offices, commercial spaces and homes. But let’s face it – every one loves an Italian espresso machine.
Espresso machine manufacturers are wirking around the clock to turn out machines capable of producing this wonderful thick concentrated coffee taste. Its bitter-sweet taste adds a rich special-ness to day top day life. It is probably in the company of an espresso that one can find a moment of tranquility in the earth that never seems to slow down for a moment.
