Eat Healthy under pressure

One of the times i find it hardest to adhere to a healthy eating program is when i’m having a bad day or am just completely stressed out. Unfortunately, my first thought is to have some truly good comfort food. I think of truly rich things to eat that are rotten for my fat loss method and worse for my over all well being. When the body is stressed out, it really needs healthy food more at that point than any other. Filling it up with all the junk I desire when i’m having a bad day is worse because I am not giving myself what i need to properly deal with the stress.

These are some tactics I try avoiding stress eating. I attempt to carry good healthy nibbles with me all of the time. These are usually things like trail mix or granola bars possessing a tiny fat in them that might satisfy that urge to eat a big chocolate bar when i’m getting wired. They are actually better for my body than the huge chocolate bar and will give me the nutrients I have to handle my busy lifestyle. Peanut butter is a great thing to have on hand if you can. I keep some in my briefcase ( strange, I know, but it works for me ) and I should have a spoonful if I am ever going to be late for a meal or if I just need a good satisfying break. It’s surprising that it can essentially curb hunger pains and also satisfies those urges I am getting when i’m wired.

I attempt to plan all my meals ahead. This helps me to adhere to what I’ve already decided when the going gets tough. Sure, sometimes I’ve tossed my lunch and went out for a cheeseburger, but it doesn’t happen that regularly if I’ve already got a great plan. I try to add in mouth-watering things to all my meals. If I am certain to get enough healthy fats, it helps me to stop craving them when the stress levels increase.

I also like to keep things like jell-o around. It really have any calories, but satisfies my sweet tooth if I am getting a craving. Adding some whipped cream is also ok, since the whipped cream is still pretty low calorie.

These are all things that help me avoid stress eating. You’ll have to try them and figure out what works best for you. Keeping good choices around will help you to achieve success with your weight reduction goals and feel happier about yourself. They will also help you manage your stress better and keep you going when you most need to.
