Air Horns – The Final Train is Approaching

I can remember at minimum 100 times, as a kid, being raised up just south of the tracks, when Russell and me would be dashing for our lives, or so we would dream up. The freight yards blended with all kinds of people and trucks, mostly lingering to get loaded with all the products that came off the trains. There was a lot going on all over this place, at least for most the day, to keep a hundred guys hoping making a living.

Russell’s dad was one of them and my pops used to be also. The train air horns from the locomotives would echo in a sequence of blasts and the trucks wouldn’t be far behind, as if to say yea, yea we hear ya. I always imagined if those series of musical air horns blasting from the trains was signal for anything, or just some irritating wake up call to stir the dock workers.

You know, I mean, they spent a lot of minutes speaking about what must have been big time stuff until those air horns sounded off, then like bees from a agitated hive, they would bounce to the most adjacent thing to do and be doing all intense like.

I’m sure we had better things to do than watch them buzz around, but it sure was a kick in the pants, and we would imagine they were our soldiers, or maybe our slaves of some sort, you know when your a ruler or a General or something, you had to have human beings to do what you said, right?

PreparingTo Propose To Your Special Someone? Advice On How To Save on Your Engagement Ring!

If you’re shopping for a diamond engagement ring, then you’re probably planning a proposal in the near future. First things first – Congrats! Getting engaged is a memorable moment in anyone’s live and is something that every girl has envisioned since she was a young girl.

Now, on to the important part – hunting for a diamond ring! For many guys, this is the most stressful part of getting engaged. Everyone knows that a diamond is a girl’s best friend! Obviously,The problem is that most guys have never bought a diamond before so they aren’t sure of what to look for.

It’s normal to get a little intimidated when you first enter a jewelry store. You are confronted with lots of shiny diamonds and plently of dollar signs! And as you can probably guess, the salesperson is most likely going to present to you the highest priced diamonds first!

Don’t panic! Trust me, you can find a gorgeous diamond ring at a fantastic price. Ignore the pricetags that you see in the stores – these prices are NOT what you will pay. There’s a lot of wiggle room and more importantly, you can look for certain things in a diamond in order to get the most bang for your buck.

The most critical part of shopping for a diamond ring is to be educated on how these things are graded. Look for a diamond buying guide to help you out here. Get a strong understanding of the “4 C’s” and how the labs grade diamonds.

After you know what goes into grading a diamond, you will also know what goes into pricing a diamond. With this knowledge, you can decide which grading characteristics are important to you and your special someone when selecting a ring.

The idea is to set a budget, and stick with it. You can get a bigger diamond simply by dropping down a notch in one of the other grading characteristics. As an example, by going from a “F” color graded diamond down to an “I”, you can save huge dollars or increase the size of the diamond significantly.

Wll, get to it! Go snag that perfect ring!

Amazon Customer Reviews For The Nikon D300

I don’t know about you but before I buy anything for over $20 I go online and do a search an look for negative feedback on a product. It was therefore no surprise when I came across the 5 star rating that the Nikon D300 achieved at Amazon.com.

With 190 positive recommendations/testimonials you would have to be nuts to consider any other camera in its class. Here are a few snippets from those comments:

1. Incredible color, tone, highlights/shadow rendition: this Nikon is best of breed!
Since 2006 I have owned a D200 for serious shooting situations and I got a D40 in early ’07 for everyday shots (an awesome camera – I give it SIX stars! – a whole separate review is needed!), and after hearing about the D300 release in late 2007 I debated over whether to get one.

2. This is the perfect camera for an advanced amateur.

The main strengths are:
(1) the excellent ergonomics and design: the camera controls are perfectly laid out. This makes the camera feel very fast and responsive. Everything about the camera is designed to allow you to change settings quickly and effortlessly. An example: the auto-ISO feature changes completely how you shoot in quickly changing lighting. Think about shooting sports in a stadium where half the field is covered in shadow – with auto-ISO you can set your parameters and then forget about the camera and just worry about catching the action. It also features endless customization which is great when you have to live with your camera day and night – if something in the interface annoys you, just change it to what you like.

3. I upgraded from a D80 which I had for more than 1 year. The D80 is a very good camera, and the D300 is a significant upgrade. What I like most about the camera is that the D300 has the ability to shoot with vivid colors while at the same time keeping a natural appearance. This leads to images looking better than what they looked like in real life.

4. To start I am an a amateur photographer with about two years experience.
I own a D40,which was my first and really enjoy it for family and everyday shooting.Great colors and focus.I then purchased the D80 which I have had
great success with and love it!But when I purchased the D300 there is no
comparison. The 51 point focus is awesome and the color choices are unbelievable! This thing is awesome when it comes to speed and focus.Quick
accurate response time is great for nature and fast moving subjects.
The pictures you take will make you feel like a pro with the very first shots taken.
The menu is so easy to use that it makes ease of changing and getting exactly what you’re looking for. There is a lot in the menu but with a little time you’ll get it fine because it has a help section.Anyone thinking of going another step up to a pro camera should not look elsewhere as Nikon truly has created a gem!To me this is a five star camera because of performance and the rugged build quality,A+

5 Top Commercial Tanning Beds Features & 6 Tips to Buying at Wholesale

For most salon owners, tanning bed technology advances so quickly that they find themselves behind the curve straining to keep up. Here are five of the hottest features in Level 1 & Level 2 tanning beds and six steps to getting them at the best price.

1. 360° Tanning
Some commercial tanning beds are breaking new ground in tanning bed design. They have eliminated the walls, just beautiful open space.  This is the type of bed we’ll be seeing more of in the next decade for sure.

2. Suspended Acrylics
This is another new feature that is usually part of the open design beds mentioned above. The suspended acrylic bed allows for a comfortably curved, ergonomic tanning experience.

3. Integrated Audio
We live in world where personal audio is a must have. It is only natural for tanners to want to listen to their own music while tanning and many beds allow them to plug in their iPod –or mp3 player– and listen without earphones getting in the way.

4. Shoulder Lamps
Only standup tan booths get that “absolutely everywhere” tan but many tanning beds are including shoulder lamps to take the horizontal tan to new areas.

5. All Metal Frame
A steady stream of customers, constant cleaning and regular maintenance sessions can a toll on commercial tanning beds. An all metal structure holds up to the abuse, last longer and makes the tanning bed nearly indestructible.

Buying at the Lowest Price
Now, you want the best price on these features, right? Of course you do. While there is no one “store”, online or offline that has the lowest price –like a Wal-Mart for tanning beds– there are a few purchasing options that will yield you the best deal on tanning beds.

Step 1 – Determine the types of tanning beds your salon needs. Let’s say you have decided that you need one standup tanning booth and one higher-end face lamp bed.

Step 2 – Now, investigate brands and features of those types of tanning systems and compare published prices and special offers. Study well and know your stuff!

Step 3 – Contact 3 sales reps and begin to negotiate. NOTE: The idea here is NOT to pit one sales rep against the other and “force” the lowest offer. Just be up front, let each rep know this is how you make your buying decision and ask them to see what they can do for you.

Step 4 – Don’t rush into a purchase. This method takes time but it will get you the best price or terms on any tanning bed, whether its a commercial bed or for home use.

Step 5 – Be flexible. Sometimes the tanning bed rep can’t meet the price of another distributor but can offer something else, like 0% financing or an extended warranty which, in effect, makes his deal better.

Step 6 – Finally, once you have made your decision, call up that distributor and ask the final killer question: “Is that the best you can do?” You may be surprised at what gets thrown in just before you seal the deal.

The Nitro RC Vehicle Revolution is Here

For those who interested in remote control cars etc. and who have not seen or tried a Nitro RC Cars, truck or buggy then you are missing out on so much fun.

Nitro Remote Controlled Cars for example can be built to run at awesome speeds of up to 150 mph. Yes, you read that correctly. Now I admit those are crazy speeds and should only be done in a controlled track environment but it goes to show just how awesome these little speed demons can be.

And of course the fun doesn’t just stop there. Nowadays you can also play around with Nitro Buggies or how about a Nitro Monster Truck.

The best way to enjoy these great ‘boys toys’ is to initially start practicing on a flat open areas. That way you can get used to the control and the sheer speed. So, something like a big car parking lot is ideal. Just make sure it’s a quiet day and the lot isn’t full of people and ‘big’ cars as they sure make a hell of a noise.

Once you get lots of practice and experience under your belt then you should try moving off-road. Once again find a reasonably flat area and then practice as much as you can. Obviously the handling off-road is so much more different and the speeds at which you can do cornering etc is so much different. Exactly like a real car but at least if you push to hard you know you’re not going to get injured.

Lots of people then move on to full on RC Car/Truck or Nitro Buggy racing. This is where the adrenaline really gets going. Racing fellow Nitro vehicle buddies around a track which may have lots of jumps, bumps etc is so much fun.

So, what are you waiting for? Get online and purchase your first Nitro RC Car, Truck and buggy and let the fun begin. Beats your Scalextric any day!
